There are very few things we ask our students to rote memorize. Multiplication facts is one of these things!
Each week students are assigned a multiplication table on the last page of their home study reports. They are expected to practice and memorize those facts each week! Memorizing facts prepares students for fourth and fifth grades by eliminating the need to calculate thus allowing them to work more quickly in math and focus on the challenge of the concepts rather than getting hung up on facts! It also helps to reduce error on multistep problems.
Please dedicate time this week to helping your child memorize this week's table: The 4's!
